The Roots Collection

The Roots Collection is our first curated story collection that delves into the rich history of Black hair. Highlighting iconic styles such as afros, cornrows, dreadlocks, and braids, this collection explores their enduring impact on social, political, and cultural dialogues surrounding Black identity.

During the 1950s and 60s, Black hairstyles became integral to Black liberation movements. Through this collection, we honor the significant and influential narratives of Black hair throughout history while bringing awareness to race-based hair discrimination which remains a systemic problem within our society.

This story collection incorporates illustrations, motifs and literature, resulting in a diverse array of art, fabrics, stationery, home decor, and lifestyle products. These items are designed to educate and promote cultural awareness, all while providing practical solutions for everyday use.
